March 6, 2011, Empress Pavilion Restaurant, LA Chinatown: Over 200 Gins/Yans/Zhens Family and Friends celebrated the Chinese Lunar New Year/Spring Festival. This year was the Year of the Rabbit. Special invited guests were Congresswoman, Dr. Judy Chu, 32nd Congressional District of California, Mayor of Redondo Beach, Honarable Mike Gin and Activist/Actor/Writer/Minister Jack Ong. This year's grand door prize was a blue ray dvd player. Seven elders of 80+ years of age were presented with lucky red envelopes and seven lucky children received fluffy rabbit pillows. It was another successful event.
